Problems?
Below are the most common reasons for OpenAI or Google not functioning properly. For more details about the issue, open the browser developer tools, go to the console tab, send a message through the AIX, and check for errors in the console. On Chrome, you can access the console via Settings > More tools > Developer tools > Console.
OpenAI and Google
- Human Takeover: Ensure there isn't a human takeover active.

OpenAI
- Chatbot Activation: Verify that Settings > Artificial Intelligence > OpenAI > Chatbot is checked.
- Quota or Billing Issues: You may have reached your quota limit or encountered billing problems with your OpenAI account. Check your usage at OpenAI Usage.
- Dialogflow Conflict: If Dialogflow is enabled, OpenAI may not work correctly if your Dialogflow agent lacks the Fallback Intent. Verify its presence on the Intents page. If missing, recreate it following the instructions provided. To quickly check if this is the issue, disable Dialogflow and send a 2-3 word message. Then, check for console errors.
- General Information: Ensure you have read the general information provided.
- Training Issues: If the chatbot isn't responding to questions relevant to the training sources and no errors are shown, there may be file permission issues. Ensure the
uploads
folder includes the embeddings
folder, which must exist and contain files.
- Testing Models: Test with the
gpt-3.5-turbo-instruct
model.
- OpenAI Settings: Delete all OpenAI settings except the OpenAI key and try again.
- OpenAI Assistant: Try using the OpenAI assistant instead.
- Go to set Settings > Artificial Intelligence > OpenAI > Sync mode to Automatic to use our OpenAI key.
Google
- Dialogflow Chatbot Activation: Verify that Settings > Artificial Intelligence > Google > Dialogflow chatbot is checked.

- Agent Location: Ensure you have selected the correct agent location.
