AiX offers several pre-programmed messages that are sent automatically. You can find and configure them by navigating to Settings > Messages. Here are the available built-in messages:
Offline Message
- Notifies the user when their message is sent outside of scheduled office hours or when all agents are offline.
- Supports text formatting and merge fields.

- The offline message is sent to the same user a maximum of once per hour.
- If the chatbot's human takeover feature is activated, the offline message is only sent during human takeover.
- The offline message is not sent if any agent is online using Slack.
Privacy Message
- Presents a privacy message with Accept and Decline buttons. User approval via the Accept button is required to start the chat, ensuring privacy policy enforcement and GDPR compliance.
- The privacy message is not shown if the "Require registration" option is enabled.
- Sent to messaging channels like WhatsApp, but users cannot approve or decline the privacy policy. Messaging functionalities are not blocked; the message is sent after the user initiates the conversation.
Pop-up Message
- Displays a pop-up notification to all users.
- The pop-up message remains visible until manually closed by the user.
Welcome Message
- Sends a message to new users when they visit the website for the first time.
- Supports text formatting, merge fields, and rich messages.
- Not sent to Slack.
- Conversations containing only the welcome message (and no response) are automatically archived.
